Ingredients

Thuar dal

Dosakayas (cubed)

Onion (chopped)

Turmeric powder
- ¼ teaspoon

Green chillies (slit lengthwise)
- 3

Ginger (chopped)
- ½ teaspoon

Salt
- as required
Ingredients For Seasoning
•
Mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon
•
Cumin seeds
- ½ teaspoon
•
Garlic (crushed)
- 4 cloves
•
Red chillies (dry, deseed and tear)
- 2
•
Curry leaves (fresh)
- 2 sprigs
•
Oil
- 2 teaspoons
Method
1.
Cook
dal
, cubed
dosakaya
,
onion
,
tomato
,
green chillies
,
ginger
and
turmeric powder
in a pressure cooker
adding
2 cups of
water
.
2.
Heat
oil
,
add
seasonings
and
mix
with gravy.
3.
Add
this to the pressure cooked
dal
and
mix
.
4.
Cook
on slow to medium flame for a few minutes till you
get
the consistency of your choice.
5. Garnish with
curry leaves
and
serve
hot with white rice.
