Cumin Chutney

Ingredients

Red chillies
- 5

Cumin seeds
- 1 ½ tablespoons

Garlic
- 6 flakes
•
Onions (big)
- 3
•
Tamarind (soaked & extracted)
- lime size
•
Salt
- as required
•
Jaggery (grated)
- as required
•
Oil
- 1 teaspoon
•
Mustard seeds
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Curry leaves
- 1 sprig
•
Asafoetida
- 2 pinches
Method
1. Dry
roast
red chillies
,
cumin seeds
without
oil
.
2.
Peel
garlic
,
dice
onions
and
fry
both using little
oil
.
3.
Powder
chillies
,
cumin
,
salt
in mixie and then
add
fried
garlic
,
onion
.
4.
Grind
to coarse chutney consistency.
5.
Heat
little
oil
, season
mustard seeds
,
curry leaves
and then
add
asafoetida
in that.
Mix
with chutney and
serve
.
