Ingredients
•
Moong dal (split yellow)
- ¼ cup
•
Cucumbers (finely chopped)
- 1 cup
•
Coconut (grated)
- ¼ cup
•
Curry leaves (chopped)
- 1 sprig
•
Coriander leaves (chopped)
- 1 tablespoon
•
Green chillies (chopped)
- 2
•
Salt
- as required
•
Asafoetida
- 1 pinch
•
Oil
- 1 teaspoon
•
Mustard seeds
- ½ teaspoon
•
Urad dal (split)
- 1 teaspoon
•
Red chillies (slit)
- 2
•
Coriander leaves (fresh)
- 2 sprigs
Method
1.
Boil
water
and half
cook
moong dal
.
2.
Cut
cucumber
into small pieces
add
salt
to it and
keep
it aside for 15 minutes.
3.
Heat
a teaspoon of
oil
,
add
mustard seeds
, when it splutters,
add
urad dal
and
red chillies
.
4.
Add
this
seasoning
in half cooked
moong dal
and
mix
. Also
add
cucumber
add
grated
coconut
.
5. Garnish with
curry leaves
and
coriander leaves
and
serve
.
