Chinthakaya Pachadi (Raw Tamarind Pachadi)

Tamarind fruits (raw)

Green chillies

Turmeric
- 1 teaspoon

Salt
- as required
Ingredients For Seasoning
•
Bengal gram dal
- 2 teaspoons
•
Fenugreek seeds
- 1 teaspoon
•
Cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon
•
Mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon
•
Asafoetidas
- a pinch
•
Red chillies
- 4
•
Curry leaves
- a little
•
Oil (for frying)
- as required
Method
1.
Grind
raw tamarind and
green chillies
together,
add
salt
and
keep
aside.
2. Take a bowl with
oil
, when heated
fry
seasoning
ingredients
till brownish.
3.
Grind
fried
seasoning
ingredients
well and
mix
raw tamarind and
green chillies
paste
and again
grind
together.
4.
Fry
mustard seeds
, hing and
curry leaves
in a
oil
and
add
this to pachadi.
