Ingredients
•
China grasses
- ¼ cup
•
Milk
- 1 liter
•
Sugar (for payasam)
- 1 cup
•
Almonds
- 2 tablespoons
•
Cashew nuts
- 2 tablespoons
•
Vanilla essence
- a little
•
Sugar (for china grass)
- ½ cup
•
Water
- 1 ½ cups
Method
1.
Add
2 cups boiled
water
to the 1 cup
china grass
pieces and
microwave
for 90 secs.
2.
Keep
it aside for 3 mins to settle like jelly.
3. Blanch
almonds
in
hot water
for 1/2 an hour.
4.
Remove
skin and
cut
into very small pieces.
5.
Cut
cashew nuts
also into very small pieces.
6.
Boil
milk
along with nuts for 5 to 7 minutes till it becomes little thick.
7.
Add
sugar
and when it dissolves
remove
from fire.
8.
Add
essence
and chill it in refrigerator.
9. Just before
serving
mix
finely
cut
china grass
jelly pieces and
serve
in individual cups.
