Chicken in Tomato Gravy

Ingredients

Chicken (cut into pieces of your choice)
- 1

Tomatoes
- 3
•
Onion grated
- 1
•
Dhania powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Garam masala powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Sugar
- 1 teaspoon
(optional)
•
Jeera powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Oil
- 2 teaspoons
•
Salt
- 1 ½ teaspoons
•
Kasoori methis
- 1 teaspoon
•
Orange red colours
- a pinch
•
Onions
- 3
•
Coriander leaves (for garnishing)
- a little
Method
1.
Grate
or
grind
onion
.
2.
Cut
and churn
tomatoes
in a mixer well to
get
a fine puree.
3.
Heat
oil
in a non stick kadai or pan.
Add
ground
onion
and
fry
till light brown.
4.
Add
chicken
.
Fry
for 1-2 minutes.
5.
Add
tomato
puree and all
seasonings
except
methi
.
Mix
well.
6.
Cover
and
simmer
for 15-20 minutes or till
chicken
is well cooked.
7.
Add
kasoori methi
. Give 1-2 boils.
Mix
well.
8.
Serve
hot, garnished with fresh
coriander leaves
.
