Chicken Gravy In Coconut Milk

Ingredients
•
Sized chicken (medium)
- 800 grams
•
Ginger paste
- 1 tablespoon
•
Garlic paste
- 1 tablespoon
•
Curd (beaten)
- 1 ½ cups
•
Khoya/Dried whole milk (grated)
- 100 grams
•
Coconut milk
- 1 cup
•
Green chillies (sliced)
- 4
•
Coriander (fresh, chopped)
- ½ cup
•
Salt
- as required
•
Oil
- ½ cup
Method
1.
Cut
chicken
into 8 pieces.
Wash
well. Pat dry on a kitchen towel.
2.
Marinate
the
chicken
with
ginger paste
,
garlic paste
and
salt
.
3.
Keep
the marinated
chicken
aside.
4.
Heat
oil
in a heavy bottomed pan.
Add
the
chicken
and
fry
till golden brown.
5.
Remove
from fire.
Drain
the excess
oil
.
6.
Add
curd
and
khoya
. Return to fire.
Cook
till the
curd
dries and coats the
chicken
.
7.
Add
coconut milk
and
cook
covered on low flame,
stirring
constantly. Do not
add
water
.
8. When the liquid thickens and the
chicken
is tender,
remove
from fire.
9.
Add
slit
green chillies
and
coriander
leaves
.
Serve
hot.
