Cauliflower Kootu

Ingredients

Cauliflower
- 1

Ghee
- 3 tablespoons
•
Salt
- as required
•
Cumin seeds
- ½ teaspoon
Ingredients For Grinding Together

Cinnamon
- 1 inch piece
•
Coconut (scrapings)
- 4 tablespoons
•
Poppy seeds
- 2 teaspoons
•
Cloves
- 3
•
Green chillies
- 6
•
Coriander leaves
- 1 bunch
•
Grams (roasted)
- 1 ½ tablespoons
Method
1. Separate
cauliflower
into small flowerettes,
soak
in salted
water
and
wash
properly.
2.
Heat
ghee
in pan
add
cumin seeds
, when it splutters
add
cauliflower
and
fry
for few minutes.
3.
Mix
ground
masala
and
fry
for few more minutes, then
add
enough
water
and
salt
.
4. Close and
keep
in a low flame till gravy thickens and the
cauliflower
becomes tender.
5.
Serve
with appam, dosai or puris.
