Cashew Nut Rice

Ingredients

Basmati rice
- 2 cups
•
Cashew nuts (fried)
- 15
•
Shah jeera
- ½ teaspoon
•
Cardamoms
- 3
•
Cinnamon stick
- 1 inch
•
Cloves
- 3
•
Brown fried onions
- ½ cup
•
Salt
- as required
•
Ghee
- 1 tablespoon
Method
1.
Wash
and
soak
Basmati rice
for half an hour.
2.
Boil
water
along with
cloves
,
cardamoms
,
cinnamon sticks
,
Shah Jeera
and
salt
in a large pot.
3.
Add
the
rice
and
cook
till almost done.
4.
Drain
the
rice
,
level
it evenly and
pour
ghee
over it.
5. Sprinkle
cashew nuts
and fried
onions
and
cook
covered on very low flame till
rice
is completely cooked.
6.
Serve
hot.
