Cabbage Curry

Ingredients
•
Cabbages (chopped)
- 4 cups
•
Coconut (grated)
- 3 tablespoons
•
Salt
- as required
Ingredients For Seasoning
•
Oil
- 2 teaspoons
•
Mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon
•
Urad dal (split)
- ¾ teaspoon
•
Red chillis (split)
- 2
•
Curry leaves
- 1 sprig
•
Ginger (chopped)
- ¼ teaspoon
Method
1.
Heat
oil
in a pan,
add
mustard seeds
, when it splutter,
add
urad dal
,
red chilli
and
curry leaves
.
2. When
urad dal
turns golden brown,
add
the shredded
cabbage
, sprinkle
water
,
cover
and
cook
on low
heat
.
3.
Stir
and sprinkle
water
in between to prevent it from
getting
burnt.
Add
needed
salt
.
4. Once cooked,
add
grated
coconut
,
mix
well and
remove
from flame.
Serve
with rice.
