Cabbage Curry - Mangalore Style

Ingredients

Onions
- 2

Cabbage
- 300 grams
•
Salt
- as required
•
Turmeric powder
- a pinch
•
Jaggery
- a little
(optional)
•
Oil (for frying)
- as required
Ingredients For Grinding Together
•
Coconut (grated, fresh)
- ΒΌ cup
•
Green chillies
- 4
•
Coriander leaves
- 2 tablespoons
•
Grams (roasted)
- 1 tablespoon
•
Tamarinds
- a little
Method
1.
Chop
onions
finely and
cabbage
into medium pieces.
2.
Heat
oil
,
fry
onions
and then
cabbage
for few minutes.
3.
Add
ground paste
,
salt
,
turmeric
with enough
water
and
cook
till
cabbage
becomes soft.
4.
Serve
as thick curry with rice.
