Cabbage Curry - Mangalore Style

Ingredients

• • Onions - 2
• • Cabbage - 300 grams
• • Salt - as required
• • Turmeric powder - a pinch
• • Jaggery - a little (optional)
• • Oil (for frying) - as required

Ingredients For Grinding Together

• • Coconut (grated, fresh) - ¼ cup
• • Green chillies - 4
• • Coriander leaves - 2 tablespoons
• • Grams (roasted) - 1 tablespoon
• • Tamarinds - a little

Method

• 1. Chop onions finely and cabbage into medium pieces.
• 2. Heat oil, fry onions and then cabbage for few minutes.
• 3. Add ground paste, salt, turmeric with enough water and cook till cabbage becomes soft.
• 4. Serve as thick curry with rice.
