Ingredients

Maida
- 3 cups
•
Bread
- 8 slices
•
Sour curd (thick)
- ½ cup
•
Baking powder
- ½ teaspoon
•
Salt
- 1 ½ teaspoons
•
Oil (for deep frying)
- as required
Method
1. Sieve
maida
with
salt
and
baking
powder
for two to three times.
2.
Remove
brown crusts from
bread
and
dip
it in
water
one by one and squeeze out
water
immediately.
3.
Mash
it well to smooth consistently.
4. To this
add
sour curd
, flour and knead to a smooth, stiff dough sprinkling more
water
to
mix
.
5.
Keep
closed for 1 or 2 hours.
6.
Make
even sized balls, dredge in
maida
and
roll
out.
7. Deep
fry
in hot
oil
till golden brown.
