Bombay Chutney

Ingredients

Onions bigs
- 3
•
Green chillies
- 6
•
Tomatoes
- 2

Salt
- as required
•
Bengal gram flour
- ΒΌ cup
•
Oil
- 2 tablespoons
•
Mustard seeds (for seasoning)
- 1 teaspoon
•
Black gram dal (for seasoning)
- 1 teaspoon
Ingredients For Garnishing
•
Curry leaves
- 1 sprig
•
Coriander leaves
- some
•
Lime juice
- a little
(optional)
Method
1.
Cut
onions,
chillies
and
tomatoes
into thin long slices.
2.
Heat
oil
in a pan
add
the
seasonings
, when it is golden brown
add
onions and
green chillies
.
3.
Fry
till translucent,
add
tomatoes
and
fry
for a few minutes.
4.
Mix
the
bengal gram flour
in one cup of
water
without any lumps,
add
salt
,
pour
over and allow it to
boil
in a reduced flame
stirring
constantly.
5. When it is thick enough with a shine,
remove
from fire and garnish with
coriander leaves
.
6.
Serve
with chapatis or pulkas.
