Boiled Eggs in Tomato Gravy

Ingredients

Onions
- 4
•
Tomatoes
- 6
•
Ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon
•
Dhania powder
- 2 teaspoons
•
Turmeric powder
- ½ teaspoon
•
Chilly powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Salt
- as required
•
Garam masala powder
- ½ teaspoon
•
Oil
- 1 ½ tablespoons
•
Eggs
- 5
•
Cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon
•
Coriander leaves
- a few
Method
1.
Cut
onions
finely. Blanch
tomatoes
in
hot water
,
remove
skin and
make
into
paste
.
2.
Boil
eggs
,
remove
shells, pierce with knife in two or three places and
keep
aside.
3.
Heat
oil
, season with
cumin seeds
,
fry
onions
till translucent.
4.
Add
ginger-garlic paste
,
fry
for a minute and
pour
tomato
paste
.
5.
Mix
all the powders, allow to
boil
for 2 minutes, and
pour
enough
water
.
6. Slip
eggs
carefully, close with a lid and
boil
in a low flame for 5 to 7 minutes.
7. When the gravy is thick enough,
remove
from fire and garnish with finely
cut
coriander leaves
.
