Black Urad Delight

Ingredients

• • Whole black urads - 1 cup
• • Onion - 1
• • Milk - 1 cup
• • Maida - 2 tablespoons
• • Salt - as required
• • Oil - 2 tablespoons

Ingredients For Grinding Together

• • Green chillies - 4
• • Garlic - 3 flakes
• • Red chilly powder - ½ teaspoon
• • Garam masala powder - ½ teaspoon
• • Coriander leaves - ½ bunch

Method

• 1. Soak urad in water for 6 to 8 hours.
• 2. Pressure cook till one whistle (do not overcook)
• 3. Strain excess water and keep aside.
• 4. Cut onions finely.
• 5. Heat oil and fry onions till crisp, add ground paste and fry for a minute.
• 6. Heat butter in another pan, fry maida & then add milk.
• 7. Stir till thick sauce is formed.
• 8. Add fried ingredients, salt and maida sauce to cooked gram.
• 9. Cook for few minutes and serve hot with chapatis.
