Big Gooseberry Chutney

Ingredients

• • Gooseberries (big) - 3
• • Green chillies - 5
• • Coconut (grated, fresh) - 1 cup
• • Salt - as required
• • Oil - a little

Ingredients For Seasoning

• • Mustard seeds - ¼ teaspoon
• • Urad dal - ½ teaspoon

Method

• 1. Remove inner seed from gooseberries and cut into flakes.
• 2. Chop chillies into 2 or 3 pieces and then fry both in little oil.
• 3. Allow to cool thoroughly, add fresh coconut, salt and grind to chutney consistency.
• 4. Heat little oil, add mustard seeds, allow to splutter, and fry urad dal, mix with chutney.
