Bhindi Onion Stir-fry

Ingredients
•
Ladies finger (cut into long strips)
- ¼ kg
•
Onions (sliced)
- 1 cup
•
Garlic (cut into small pieces)
- 4 cloves
•
Turmeric powder
- ½ teaspoon
•
Chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Oil
- 1 tablespoon
•
Salt
- as required
Ingredients For Seasoning
•
Mustard seeds
- ½ teaspoon
•
Urad dal (split)
- 1 teaspoon
Ingredients For Garnishing
•
Coconut (grated)
- 1 tablespoon
•
Groundnuts (roasted)
- 1 tablespoon
Method
1.
Heat
the
oil
in a broad non-stick pan,
add
mustard seeds
and then
urad dal
.
2. Then
add
garlic
and
onions
and sauté on medium flame for 3 minutes.
3.
Add
the
ladies finger
,
turmeric powder
,
chilli powder
,
salt
and sprinkle
water
,
mix
well and
cook
on a medium flame for 8 minutes, while
tossing
occasionally.
4. Garnish with grated
coconut
and roasted
groundnut
and
serve
hot.
