Ber Rice 2

Ingredients
•
Rice
- 1 cup
•
Bers (firm, ripe)
- 1 ½ cups
•
Green chillies
- 12
•
Tamarind
- lemon size
•
Salt
- as required
•
Oil
- 2 tablespoons
•
Coriander leaves
- 1 tablespoon
Ingredients For Seasoning
•
Cashew nuts (broken)
- 1 tablespoon
•
Bengal gram dal
- 1 teaspoon
•
Black gram dal
- 1 teaspoon
•
Mustard seeds
- ½ teaspoon
•
Asafoetidas
- a pinch
Method
1.
Cook
rice
till tender and each grain is separate.
2. Allow it to cool.
3.
Wash
ber
,
destone
and select good ones.
4.
Add
little
water
and
cook
it in a pan for few minutes.
5. When it becomes soft,
remove
from fire.
6. Cool and
remove
the
seeds
completely.
7.
Grind
the pulp into fine
paste
.
8.
Heat
half a Teaspoon of
oil
and
fry
red
chillies
and
black gram dal
till golden brown and
powder
it.
9.
Heat
rest of the
oil
,
add
seasonings
,
fry
till golden and
pour
over
rice
.
10.
Add
salt
, powdered
spices
and ground pulp,
mix
well and
serve
.
