Bengal Gram Paratha

Ingredients
•
Bengal gram dal
- ½ cup
•
Garlic
- 2 flakes
•
Green chillies
- 4
•
Salt
- ¾ teaspoon
Ingredients For The Dough
•
Maida (fresh)
- 4 cups
•
Sugar
- 1 teaspoon
•
Powder salt
- 1 ½ teaspoons
•
Oil
- ½ cup
Method
1. Sieve and
mix
the flour together in a
mixing
bowl.
2.
Add
salt
,
sugar
and butter.
3.
Mix
well with the flour till butter blends.
4. Gradually
add
water
and knead to a smooth dough.
5. Pat and knead well for several times.
6. Use ghee or
oil
while
mixing
the dough instead of butter.
Method To Make The Stuffing
1.
Soak
dal
for few hours and
grind
coarsely with other
ingredients
.
2.
Heat
little ghee or
oil
and
fry
till moisture dries up.
3.
Make
balls and use this as a stuffing for parathas.
Method To Prepare The Paratha
1. Take one ball and
roll
into thick and 3 inches width chapati.
2.
Make
another of the same size.
3. Place a tablespoon of filling on the middle of one chapati.
4. Carefully
spread
it leaving ¼ inch gap all around.
5.
Keep
another chapati on top.
6. Using little
water
carefully seal both the chapatis all around.
7. Dredge on flour and
roll
again into big paratha.
8.
Fry
on hot 'tawa' using 1/4 Teaspoon of
oil
for each side of paratha.
