Bengal Gram Dal Chutney

Ingredients

Bengal gram dal
- ¼ cup
•
Coconut (grated, fresh)
- ¼ cup
•
Green chillies
- 6
•
Salt
- as required
•
Oil (for tampering)
- as required
•
Mustard seeds
- ¼ teaspoon
Method
1.
Heat
little
oil
and
fry
bengal gram dal
until golden red in colour.
2. Allow to cool,
add
just enough
water
to
cover
and
soak
for 10 minutes.
3.
Grind
it with
green chillies
,
salt
and
add
coconut
at the end.
4.
Grind
to a coarse chutney consistency.
5. Season
mustard seeds
in
oil
and
mix
with chutney and then
serve
.
