Beetroot Masala Curry

Onion

Oil (for frying)

Ingredients For Pounding Coarsely

Sambar powder
- ½ teaspoon
•
Salt
- as required
•
Coconut (grated, fresh)
- 1 tablespoon
Ingredients For Seasoning
•
Mustard seeds
- ½ teaspoon
•
Urad dal
- 1 teaspoon
Method
1.
Cut
onions
and
beetroot
into fine pieces.
2.
Heat
oil
,
add
mustard
,
urad
and
fry
onions
till golden.
3.
Add
beetroot
pieces with little
water
, close with lid and
cook
till soft.
4. When moisture is absorbed completely
add
powdered
ingredients
,
mix
well and
remove
from fire.
