Aloo Paratha

Ingredients
•
Potato
- ½ kg
•
Salt (powdered)
- 1 teaspoon
•
Aniseeds
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Green chillies
- 8
•
Ginger garlic paste
- ½ teaspoon
•
Garam masala powder
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Onions
- 2
•
Coriander leaves (finely cut)
- 2 tablespoons
•
Oil (for frying)
- as required
•
Turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon
Ingredients For The Dough
•
Maida (fresh)
- 4 cups
•
Sugar
- 1 teaspoon
•
Powder salt
- 1 ½ teaspoons
•
Oil
- ½ cup
Method To Make The Dough
1. Sieve and
mix
the flour together in a
mixing
bowl.
2.
Add
salt
,
sugar
and butter.
3.
Mix
well with the flour till butter blends.
4. Gradually
add
water
and knead to a smooth dough.
5. Pat and knead well for several times.
6. Use ghee or
oil
while
mixing
the dough instead of butter.
Method To Prepare The Stuffing
1.
Cook
potatoes
.
Peel
and
mash
.
2.
Heat
little
oil
and season with
aniseed
and then
fry
ginger garlic paste
.
3.
Add
mashed
potatoes
with
salt
,
turmeric powder
and
garam masala powder
.
4.
Fry
for few minutes and
remove
from fire.
5.
Mix
minced
green chillies
and finely
cut
onions
,
coriander leaves
to the
potato
mixture
when it cools down.
Method To Prepare Paratha
1.
Make
medium sized balls from the dough.
2. Flatten each ball and
keep
a tablespoon of filling inside.
3. Close and seal well all around.
4. Press and dredge in wheat flour and
roll
out into thick parathas.
5.
Heat
a 'tawa' ind
fry
these parathas using
oil
for both sides while
frying
.
6.
Serve
hot.
