Tomatoes (cut finely)

Raisins
- 1 tablespoon
(optional)
Ingredients For Masala
•
Cinnamon
- 2 pieces
•
Nut megs
- a little
•
Cloves
- 4
•
Cardamoms
- 3
•
Poppy seeds
- 1 tablespoon
•
Pepper
- 4
•
Curry leaves
- 3 teaspoons
•
Aniseeds
- 1 teaspoon
•
Red chillies
- 5
•
Green chillies
- 4
•
Ginger
- 1 inch piece
•
Coriander leaves
- 1 bunch
•
Salt
- as required
•
Oil
- 3 tablespoons
Method
1.
Scrape
outer skin from
potatoes
, prick with fork,
soak
in salted
water
for 30 minutes.
2.
Drain
, wipe and deep
fry
in hot
oil
.
3.
Keep
a
frying
pan over fire,
add
3 tablespoons of
oil
,
fry
the ground
masala
for few minutes in medium flame.
4.
Add
chopped
tomatoes
,
curds
and
khoya
,
fry
well till
oil
separates from it.
5.
Pour
2 cups of
water
,
sugar
and
boil
over a low flame.
6. When the gravy becomes thick,
add
potatoes
, close and
keep
in a low flame till the
oil
separates.
7. Garnish with
coriander leaves
.
8. Fried
cashew nuts
,
almonds
and
raisins
also can be added to the gravy before
serving
.
