Ingredients

Urad dal
- 1 cup
•
Green chillies (chopped)
- 3
•
Pepper corns (freshly ground in a mixer)
- 8
•
Salt
- as required
•
Oil (for frying)
- as required
Method
1.
Soak
the
urad dal
for about four hours.
2.
Grind
the
dal
into a
paste
. Do not
add
water
.
3. To this
mixture
,
add
the finely chopped
green chilly
and ground
pepper corns
.
4.
Add
salt
to
taste
.
5.
Pour
oil
in a kadai and wait till it is sufficiently heated.
6. Take a little batter in your palm and drop it into the
oil
carefully.
7.
Fry
till golden brown, turning it over occasionally until all sides are done.
8.
Serve
hot with mint/coriander or coconut chutney.
