Tomato Puree

Tomato
- 1 kg

Sugar
- ½ cup
•
Salt
- 1 teaspoon
Method
1. Rinse the
tomatoes
and pat dry.
2. Coarsely
chop
up the
tomatoes
.
3.
Blend
tomatoes
into smooth liquid with a blender.
4. Place the blended
tomatoes
in a large heavy-bottomed pot over medium-high
heat
and bring to a
boil
.
5.
Add
salt
&
sugar
.
6.
Reduce
the
heat
to medium-low and
simmer
until they've released some of their juices and are tender, about 10 minutes.
7.
Remove
the pot of
tomato
puree from the
heat
.
