Green chillies (slit lengthwise)

Thuar dal
- ½ cup

Turmeric powder
- ¼ teaspoon

Coconut (grated, fresh)
- 2 tablespoons
•
Cumin seeds
- ½ teaspoon
•
Cashew nuts
- 6
•
Red chillies
- 6
Ingredients For Seasoning
•
Oil
- 2 teaspoons
•
Mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon
•
Fenugreek
- 1 teaspoon
Ingredients For Garnishing
•
Coriander leaves
- a little
•
Curry leaves
- 1 sprig
Method
1.
Dice
tomatoes
into big pieces.
2.
Slice
onions
length wise.
3. Pressure
cook
dal
till it just splits.
4.
Heat
oil
,
add
seasonings
,
garlic
,
ginger
sliced
chillies
and then
onions
.
5.
Fry
till
onions
become transparent.
6.
Add
tomatoes
,
ground paste
, cooked
dal
,
salt
and
cook
till
tomatoes
become soft.
7. When the gravy becomes thick
remove
from fire and then squeeze
lemon
.
8. Garnish with
coriander
,
curry leaves
.
