Tomato Garlic Bhath

Ingredients

• • Rice - 1 cup
• • Green chillies - 8
• • Whole garlic - 3
• • Tomatoes - 5
• • Cashew nuts - 1 tablespoon
• • Ghee - 1 teaspoon
• • Oil - 2 tablespoons
• • Turmeric powder - ¼ teaspoon
• • Salt - as required
• • Coconut (grated) - 2 tablespoons

Ingredients For Seasoning

• • Mustard seeds - as required
• • Black gram dal - as required
• • Bengal gram dal - as required
• • Curry leaves - as required

Method

• 1. Cook rice and allow it to cool completely.
• 2. Separate the grains.
• 3. Cut green chillies into long pieces.
• 4. Peel garlic, separate the flakes and cut into round, even pieces.
• 5. Cut tomatoes into I inch square pieces.
• 6. Heat oil, add seasonings with curry leaves and cashew nuts.
• 7. Add green chillies and garlic.
• 8. When it turns into golden brown add tomatoes and fry till it becomes soft.
• 9. Stir in rice, salt, and turmeric powder.
• 10. Mix well and garnish with grated coconut.
