Sprouted Green Gram Fried Rice

Ingredients
•
Basmati rice
- ¼ kg
•
Spring onions
- 1 bunch
•
Capsicums
- 2
•
Cabbage
- 150 grams
•
White pepper powder
- ½ teaspoon
•
Caramelized sugar
- 1 tablespoon
•
Ajinomoto
- ½ teaspoon
•
Salt
- as required
•
Sprouted green grams
- ½ cup
•
Oil
- 3 tablespoons
•
Soya sauce
- 1 tablespoon
Ingredients For Grinding Together
•
Green chillies
- 3
•
Ginger
- ½ inch piece
Method
1.
Soak
rice
for 10 minutes.
2.
Slice
onions
,
capsicums
,
cabbage
and
spring onion
tops into 1 inch long pieces.
3.
Prepare
sprouted
gram
previous day.
4.
Cook
rice
in enough
water
to which little
oil
and
salt
is added.
5.
Drain
through a colander arid allow to cool.
6.
Heat
oil
in a broad, iron
frying
pan and
add
ginger
chilly
paste
.
7. After a minute
add
onions
,
capsicums
,
cabbage
,and put sprouted
gram
in the order given one by one leaving a gap of one or two minutes in between.
8. Sprinkle
ajinomoto
while
frying
.
9. At the end
add
spring onion
tops, cooked cooled
rice
,
salt
,
pepper
,
soya sauce
and
caramelized sugar
.
10.
Stir
in a high flame for few minutes till
rice
becomes hot.
Method To Make Sprouted Green Gram
1.
Soak
whole green
gram
(moong) in
water
for 6 to 10 hours.
2.
Strain
through a clean muslin cloth and tie well
3. Hang it for a day to sprout. Sprinkle little
water
in between.
