Sago Bahala Bhath

Ingredients
•
Sagos (small)
- 1 cup
•
Milk
- ½ liter
•
Cream (fresh)
- ½ cup
•
Salt
- as required
•
Curd
- 1 cup
•
Carrots (grated)
- 2 teaspoons
•
Mangoes (raw, finely cut)
- as required
•
Sweet green grapes
- as required
•
Kismis
- 1 teaspoon
Ingredients For Seasoning
•
Oil
- ½ teaspoon
•
Mustard seeds
- ½ teaspoon
•
Urad dal
- 1 teaspoon
•
Bengal gram dal
- 1 ½ teaspoons
•
Cashew nuts (broken)
- 10
•
Green chillies (cut lengthwise)
- 3
•
Curry leaves
- 2 sprigs
•
Coriander leaves (finely chopped)
- 1 tablespoon
•
Kismi
- 25 grams
Method
1.
Boil
sago
using enough
water
until soft.
2.
Remove
from fire and
keep
aside.
3. After few minutes
sago
settles down and excess
water
stands on top.
4.
Pour
off excess
water
gently and
add
cold
milk
, to the
sago
.
5. Allow to cool and then
add
whipped
curds
,
salt
, fresh
cream
.
Mix
well.
6.
Heat
oil
in a pan
add
ingredients
mentioned under
seasoning
one by one.
Fry
and
pour
on top of the Bahala Bhath.
Mix
well.
7.
Serve
after an hour.
8.
Add
grated
carrot
, finely
cut
raw
mango
while
serving
.
9.
Add
fresh
sweet green grapes
or dry
kismis
according to individual
taste
.
