Ripe Mango Sambar

Ingredients

Mangoes (ripe)
- 2
•
Thuar dal (cooked)
- ½ cup
•
Tamarind
- lemon size
•
Salt
- as required
•
Dal rasam powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Oil (for seasoning)
- as required
•
Curry leaves
- few
•
Mustard seeds
- ½ teaspoon
•
Urad dal
- 1 teaspoon
Method
1.
Soak
tamarind
in
water
and extract juice.
2. Dilute with another 2 cups of
water
.
3.
Cut
mango
into big pieces with skin.
4.
Cook
mango
pieces in
tamarind
extract till soft.
5.
Add
mashed
dal
,
salt
,
rasam
powder
or Sambar
powder
and
cook
till Sambar becomes thick .
6.
Heat
little
oil
,
add
seasonings
and
mix
with gravy.
7. Garnish with
curry leaves
.
