Rice Paniyaram

Ingredients

Rice (raw)
- 1 cup
•
Par boiled rice
- 1 cup
•
Black grams (dehusked)
- ½ cup
•
Bengal gram dal
- 1 tablespoon
•
Green chillies
- 8
•
Salt
- 2 teaspoons
•
Coconut pieces (finely cut)
- 1 tablespoon
(optional)
•
Onions (small, sliced)
- ½ cup
•
Coriander leaves (chopped)
- 1 tablespoon
•
Cooking soda
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Sour curd
- ¼ cup
Method
1.
Soak
dal
separately for 1 hour and
rice
for 2 hours.
2.
Grind
dal
first till smooth and frothy.
3.
Grind
rice
with
green chillies
till coarse rawa consistency.
4.
Mix
rice
and
dal
paste
with
salt
.and allow to ferment till next day.
5.
Add
coconut pieces
, soaked
bengal gram dal
,
onions
,
coriander
, curry
leaves
along with
curds
and
soda
to the fermented batter.
6.
Mix
well and
pour
in paniyaram pan.
