Rawa Idli

Ingredients
•
Oil
- 2 tablespoons
•
Mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon
•
Urad dal
- 2 teaspoons
•
Chana dal
- 2 teaspoons
•
Asafoetida
- ½ teaspoon
•
Green chillies (minced)
- 5
•
Ginger (cut into pieces)
- 2 teaspoons
•
Curry leaves
- 2 sprigs
•
Cashew nuts
- 1 tablespoon
•
Rawa/Semolinas
- 1 cup
•
Salt
- as required
•
Coriander leaves
- ½ cup
•
Sour thick curd
- 2 cups
•
Ghee
- 1 tablespoon
•
Carrots (grated)
- 2 tablespoons
Method
1.
Heat
oil
in a pan.
Add
mustard seeds
,
urad dal
,
chana dal
,
asafoetida
,
green chilly
,
ginger
,
curry leaves
and
cashew nuts
.
Roast
until all
dal
and nuts turn golden brown.
2.
Add
rawa
and
fry
well.
3. In a bowl,
add
the roasted
ingredients
,
salt
,
coriander leaves
and
sour thick curd
.
Mix
well and
make
sure no lumps are formed.
4. Grease an idli plate with
ghee
.
Pour
the idli
mix
into the idli plate mould.
Add
grated
carrots
on top of each idli. Steam for 15 minutes.
5.
Serve
with chutney. Enjoy!
