Ingredients

Rajma beans/Red kidney beans
- 1 cup
•
Onions (finely chopped)
- 2 tablespoons
•
Coriander leaves
- 1 tablespoon
•
Tamarind extract (thick)
- 1 tablespoon
•
Jaggery
- a little
•
Salt
- as required
•
Oil (for frying)
- as required
•
Curry leaves
- 1 sprig

Green chillies
- 5
•
Coconut (grated, fresh)
- 1 ½ tablespoons
Method
1.
Soak
rajma beans
in enough
water
for 10 to 12 hours.
2. Change the
water
and then pressure
cook
for 15 minutes.
3.
Drain
excess
water
through a colander.
4.
Heat
oil
,
add
mustard
seeds
. asafoetida,
curry leaves
and then
onion
.
5.
Fry
till
onion
becomes golden red in colour.
6.
Add
cooked rajma,
tamarind extract
,
salt
, grated
jaggery
and pound
ingredients
.
7.
Mix
well till steaming hot and moisture is absorbed completely.
8. Garnish with chopped
coriander leaves
.
