Quick Chilly Chicken

Ingredients
•
Boneless chicken
- 500 grams
•
Ginger-garlic paste (fresh)
- 2 tablespoons
•
Red chilly paste
- ½ tablespoon
•
Soya sauce
- 3 tablespoons
•
Vinegar
- 1 tablespoon
•
Pepper powder
- ½ teaspoon
•
Salt
- ½ teaspoon
•
Sugar
- ½ teaspoon
•
Ajinomoto
- ¼ teaspoon
(optional)
•
Oil
- 3 tablespoons
•
Green chillies (slit lengthwise)
- 8
•
Spring onions (cut into ½ inch pieces)
- 3
•
Capsicum (cut into ½ inch pieces)
- 1
Method
1.
Cut
the
chicken
into small pieces by placing a sharp knife over the piece and
hitting
the knife with anything hard that cracks the bone and can
cut
through the piece, or take
boneless chicken
and
cut
into 2 inch pieces.
2.
Marinate
the
chicken
with
ginger-garlic paste
,
red chilly paste
,
soya sauce
,
vinegar
,
pepper
,
salt
,
sugar
and
ajinomoto
for ½ hour.
3.
Heat
oil
in a pressure cooker,
add
the marinated
chicken
.
Stir
fry
on high flame till the
chicken
is dry.
4.
Add
½ cup
water
and close the lid of the pressure cooker. Pressure
cook
to give 1 whistle.
Remove
from flame, drop the pressure of the cooker by putting
cold water
on the lid and open.
5. Dry the
chicken
pieces on high flame.
6.
Add
green chillies
,
spring onions
,
capsicum
.
Stir
well and
serve
hot.
