Green gram dal
- ¾ cup

Brinjal
- ¼ kg
•
Red chilly powder
- ¾ teaspoon
•
Aniseed powder
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Salt
- as required
•
Turmeric powder
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Curry leaves
- few
Ingredients For Seasoning

Oil
- 2 teaspoons
•
Mustard
- ¼ teaspoon
Ingredients For Grinding Coarsely
•
Coconut (grated, fresh)
- 1 tablespoon
•
Onion
- ½
•
Cumin seeds
- ½ teaspoon
Method
1.
Dice
brinjal
into small pieces.
2.
Wash
dal
,
add
enough
water
, chopped
vegetable
pieces and
cook
till soft.
3.
Add
turmeric
,
red chilly powder
,
salt
.
4.
Mix
ground paste
and
boil
for few more minutes.
5.
Heat
little
oil
,
add
mustard seeds
. When it splutters
add
aniseed powder
and
mix
with
dal
.
6. Garnish with
curry leaves
.
