Poppy seeds
- 1 cup

Potatoes

Green chillies - 3s

Onion

Coriander leaf (fresh)
- few sprigs

Black pepper powder
- ½ teaspoon
•
Vinegar
- 1 teaspoon
•
Sugar
- 1 teaspoon
•
Salt
- as required
•
Oil (for deep frying)
- as required
Method
1.
Soak
poppy seeds
in
water
for an hour and
grind
to a smooth
paste
in a blender/mixer and
keep
aside.
2.
Boil
potatoes
and
peel
the skin and
mash
them.
3.
Peel
,
wash
and finely
chop
onion
.
4. Clean,
wash
and
chop
green chillies and
coriander leaves
.
5. Take a
mixing
bowl and
mix
well mashed
potatoes
,
poppy seed
paste
, green chillies,
coriander leaves
,
pepper
powder
,
vinegar
,
sugar
and
salt
.
6.
Make
round flat tikkis of approximately two inches in diameter and
keep
the tikkis in deep freezer for an hour.
7.
Deep-fry
the tikkis in hot
oil
till golden brown.
8. Garnish with fresh
coriander leaves
and
serve
hot crispy Posto
