Pesarattu Dosa

Ingredients
•
Whole green grams (with skin)
- 1 cup
•
Rice (raw)
- 2 tablespoons
•
Jeera
- 1 teaspoon
•
Green chillies
- 3
•
Ginger
- 1 inch
•
Asafoetida
- 1 teaspoon
•
Salt
- as required
•
Water
- as required
•
Oil
- as required
Ingredients For Topping
•
Onions (finely cut)
- ¾ cup
•
Coconut (grated)
- ½ cup
Method
1.
Soak
green
gram
and
rice
together for atleast 6 hours in sufficient
water
.
2.
Grind
soaked green
gram
, soaked
rice
,
jeera
,
green chillies
,
ginger
,
asafoetida
,
salt
with sufficient
water
into a fine smooth
paste
.
3.
Heat
a dosa pan.
Pour
dosa in the middle and
spread
evenly using a spatula into a round circle.
4. Drizzle
oil
on the top of the dosa.
5.
Add
finely
cut
onions
and grated
coconut
on top of the dosa.
6. When the dosa has become crisp, fold and
remove
from the
heat
.
7.
Serve
hot with chutney. Enjoy!
Variation - Pesaru Upma
•
Prepare
dosa as mentioned previously.
• Do not
add
onions
.
•
Fry
on both sides till crisp.
• Place 2 tablespoons of rawa upma inside the dosa.
•
Serve
hot with chutney.
