Pepper Rice

Ingredients
•
Rice
- 1 cup
•
Curry leaves
- 3 tablespoons
•
Pepper
- 1 teaspoon
•
Garlic
- 10
•
Pure ghee
- 2 tablespoons
•
Salt
- as required
Method
1.
Cook
rice
and allow it to cool.
2.
Heat
a Teaspoon of
ghee
and
fry
curry leaves
till crisp.
3. Cool and
crush
well with hands.
4.
Peel
garlic
and
slice
into thin pieces.
5. Dry black
pepper
under sun and then
powder
.
6.
Heat
rest of the
ghee
and
fry
garlic
till golden brown in colour.
7.
Add
pepper
powder
and
fry
for a minute.
8.
Mix
in
rice
,
salt
and crumbled
curry leaves
.
Variation
• Dry
roast
one Tablespoon full of cashew nuts and
powder
separately.
•
Fry
two red chillies in
oil
and
powder
along with
pepper
.
•
Reduce
pepper
to ¾ Teaspoon
Mix
everything together with
salt
to cooked
rice
.
