Peas And Cheese Pulao

Ingredients

Basmati rice
- 1 cup
•
Peas
- ½ cup
•
Onions
- 3
•
Green chillies
- 5
•
Cheese (grated)
- 14 cups
•
Salt
- as required
•
Oil
- 3 tablespoons
•
Cinnamon
- 1 inch piece
•
Bay leaf
- 1
•
Cloves
- 3
•
Black pepper powder
- ½ teaspoon
•
Ghee
- as required
Method
1.
Wash
and
soak
rice
for 10 minutes.
2.
Drain
water
and
fry
rice
, with half a Teaspoon of
ghee
for 2 or 3 minutes.
3.
Slice
onions
and mince
green chillies
.
4.
Cook
peas
separately till soft.
5.
Heat
a heavy vessel with
oil
.
6.
Fry
masala
spices
and minced
chillies
.
7.
Add
onions
and
stir
till it becomes crisp.
8.
Pour
two cups of
water
and required
salt
.
9. When it starts
boiling
,
add
rice
and
reduce
flame.
10.
Cover
with a tight lid and
cook
till
rice
becomes soft.
11. Gently
mix
in cooked
peas
.
12. Sprinkle grated
cheese
on top and
serve
hot.
13. Half a Teaspoon of
black pepper powder
can be mixed after
removing
from fire.
