Peanut Rice

Ingredients

Grained rice (long)
- 2 cups
•
Peanuts (roasted)
- 1 ¼ cups
•
Sesame seeds
- 1 teaspoon
•
Red chillies
- 10
•
Coconut (grated, dry)
- ¼ cup
•
Turmeric powder
- ½ teaspoon
•
Salt
- as required
•
Oil
- 2 tablespoons
Ingredients For Seasoning
•
Mustard seeds
- ½ teaspoon
•
Black gram dal
- ¾ teaspoon
•
Bengal gram dal
- ½ teaspoon
•
Curry leaves
- few
Method
1.
Cook
rice
till it is half cooked consistency.
2. Allow it to cool.
3. Separate the grains.
4.
Remove
outer red skin from roasted
peanuts
and pound it coarsely.
5.
Heat
a Teaspoon of
oil
and
fry
red chillies
and dry
coconut
till light brown.
6.
Powder
separately.
7. Dry
roast
sesame seeds
till light brown and
powder
separately.
8.
Heat
oil
and
fry
the
seasonings
till golden brown.
9.
Add
turmeric powder
and
pour
over
rice
with
salt
and other powdered
ingredients
.
10.
Mix
well and
serve
.
