Paneer Rasam

Ingredients
•
Tamarind
- lime size
•
Water
- 3 cups
•
Rose water
- 2 tablespoons
•
Green chillies
- 3
•
Cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Pepper powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Coriander leaves
- a little
•
Rose petals (for garnishing)
- a few
•
Salt
- as required
•
Sugar
- as required
•
Oil/Ghee
- as required
•
Mustard seeds (for seasoning)
- ½ teaspoon
Method
1.
Soak
tamarind
in
water
squeeze and take extract.
2. Dilute with
water
.
Add
little
dal
water
from cooked thuar
dal
.
3.
Add
salt
and
sugar
.
4.
Heat
oil
or
ghee
add
mustard
, slit
green chillies
,
cumin
,
pepper powder
,
fry
for a minute and
add
to
tamarind
extract.
5.
Boil
for 1 or 2 minutes.
6.
Remove
from fire and
add
rose water
.
7. Garnish with
rose petals
and
coriander leaves
.
