Pan Fried Chicken With Mushrooms

Ingredients
•
Chicken (cut into 8 pieces)
- 800 grams
•
Worcestershire sauce
- 3 tablespoons
•
Salt
- as required
•
Pepper
- as required
•
Button onions
- 10
•
Oil
- 3 tablespoons
•
Mushroom (cut into halves)
- 200 grams
•
Garlic flakes (chopped & crushed)
- 10
•
Water
- 1 cup
•
Cornflours (prepare: dissolve in water)
- 1 tablespoon
•
Capsicum (cut into ½ inch squares)
- 1
•
Almonds (prepare: blanch for garnishing)
- a few
Method
1.
Wash
chicken
well.
2. Rub the
chicken
with
salt
,
pepper
and
worcestershire sauce
.
3.
Keep
aside to
marinate
for 1 hour.
4.
Heat
3 Tablespoon
oil
in a nonstick pan.
5.
Cook
the
chicken
pieces on high
heat
, turning sides to brown evenly.
6.
Reduce
flame.
Cover
with a lid and
cook
adding
a little
water
if required.
7.
Cook
covered on low flame for 10-15 minutes, till the
chicken
turns tender or pressure
cook
to give 2 whistles by
adding
cup
water
.
8.
Add
garlic
,
button onion
and
mushroom
.
Stir
fry
on high flame.
9.
Serve
hot if you wish to
keep
it dry.
10. If a little gravy is desired,
add
1 cup
water
and bring it to a
boil
.
11.
Mix
cornflour
paste
and
add
to the
chicken
.
12.
Stir
till the
sauce
thickens a little,
keeping
it a little thin as it thickens on
keeping
till the
serving
time.
13.
Remove
from fire and transfer to a
serving
dish.
14.
Add
deseeded
capsicum
squares at
serving
time and give it one good
boil
.
15. Transfer to a
serving
dish and garnish with blanched
almonds
.
