Mushroom Chops

Ingredients

Button mushroom
- 400 grams
•
Onions
- 2
•
Butter (for frying)
- as required
•
Tamarind
- small lemon size
•
Spring onions
- 2
Ingredients For Grinding To Paste
•
Garlic
- 6 flakes
•
Ginger
- ½ inch piece
•
Red chillies
- 6
•
Turmeric powder
- ½ teaspoon
•
Salt
- as required
Method
1. Take
water
in a bowl and
add
little lime juice to it.
2.
Wash
the
mushrooms
in it 3 or 4 times.
3.
Spread
it over a cloth to dry up the moisture.
4.
Chop
the
mushrooms
into 4 or 6 pieces horizontally according to it's size.
5.
Cut
onions
finely.
6.
Soak
tamarind
in little
water
and extract a thick pulp.
7.
Mix
ground paste
with the
tamarind
extract.
8.
Marinate
mushrooms
in this
paste
for ½ an hour.
9.
Cut
spring onion
stems separately into fine pieces and
slice
onions
into thin rounds.
10.
Keep
onion
stem separately for
garnishing
.
11.
Fry
sliced
onion
rings in
butter
till it turns crisp and golden.
Take out
and
keep
aside for
garnishing
.
12. In the same
butter
,
fry
onions
till it becomes transparent.
13.
Add
mushrooms
along with its
marinade
.
14.
Stir
fry
in medium flame till moisture is absorbed completely.
15.
Remove
on a
serving
dish, decorate with fried
onion
rings and chopped
spring onions
.
