Murungai Keerai Thogayal

Ingredients

• • Drumstick leaves - 1 cup
• • Red chillies - 10
• • Bengal gram dal - 1 tablespoon
• • Urad dal - 1 tablespoon
• • Tamarind (soaked & extracted) - lime size
• • Coconut (grated, fresh) - 1 ½ tablespoons
• • Salt - as required

Ingredients For Seasoning

• • Oil - 1 tablespoon
• • Mustard seeds - ¼ teaspoon

Method

• 1. Heat little oil and fry chillies, bengal gram dal and black gram dal together till golden.
• 2. Fry leaves separately in little oil till it shrinks. (Do not over fry)
• 3. Grind everything together with coconut, tamarind and salt to coarse paste.
• 4. Season with mustard seeds.
