Ingredients

Sprouted green grams
- 1 ½ cups
•
Oil
- 2 tablespoons
•
Tamarind extract
- 1 tablespoon
•
Salt
- as required
•
Coriander leaves (chopped)
- 1 tablespoon
•
Mustard seeds
- ½ teaspoon
•
Curry leaves
- 1 sprig
Ingredients For Masala
•
Coconut (dry roast till light brown)
- ½ cup
•
Onions (chop & fry in oil till light brown)
- 2
•
Red chilly powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Asafoetidas
- a pinch
•
Cloves
- 3
•
Cinnamon
- 1 inch piece
•
Cumin seeds
- 2 teaspoons
Method
1.
Fry
all
masala
ingredients
in a little
oil
separately and then
grind
with other
ingredients
.
2.
Keep
sprouts in a vessel and steam
cook
in a cooker without
keeping
weight for 7 minutes.
3.
Heat
little
oil
,
add
mustard seeds
,
curry leaves
and then
ground paste
.
4.
Stir
fry
for few minutes,
add
tamarind extract
,
salt
and then cooked
gram
.
5.
Pour
just enough
water
and
cook
till it becomes thick.
6.
Serve
garnished with
coriander leaves
.
