Ingredients
•
Milk (full cream)
- 3 cups
•
Sugar
- 2 tablespoons
•
Brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons
•
Water
- 1 teaspoon
•
Curd/Yogurt/Mishti dois
- 2 teaspoons
•
Fruits (dry, chopped)
- a few
Method
1.
Boil
milk
in a thick bottomed saucepan on medium
heat
.
2.
Add
sugar
and
stir
occasionally until it thickens and reduces to half.
3.
Heat
a thick bottomed pan and put 2 tbsp
brown sugar
and 1 tsp
water
and
mix
well on medium flame.
Stir
till the
sugar
caramelises.
4. Transfer the caramelized
sugar
into the boiled
milk
and
stir
well and bring the this
milk
mix
into another
boil
and allow it to cool into lukewarm.
5. Transfer the
milk
mixture
into clay pot or any other container.
6.
Add
curd
into the
milk
and
stir
it well.
Cover
it and
keep
it in a warm place for about 8 hours.
7. Garnish it with chopped dry
fruits
and
serve
the tasty
Mishti Doi
chilled.
