Mince Steak

Ingredients For Steak
•
Lamb mince/Keema
- ½ kg
•
Onions (medium, chopped finely)
- 2
•
Ginger (chopped)
- 2 inch pieces
•
Green coriander choppeds
- ½ cup
•
Green chillies (chopped)
- 2
•
Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons
•
Tomato ketchup
- 2 tablespoons
•
Egg white
- 1
•
Maida
- 2 tablespoons
•
Mustard powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Salt
- as required
•
Pepper
- as required
•
Bread (fresh, prepare: dipped in water, squeezed & crumbled)
- 1 slice
Ingredients For Garlic Sauce
•
Garlic (chopped & crushed)
- 10 flakes
•
Worcester sauce
- 1 tablespoon
•
8-8 sauce
- 1 teaspoon
•
Tomato ketchup
- 2 tablespoons
•
Pepper
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Salt
- as required
•
Cornflours (prepare: mixed with ¼ cup water)
- 1 tablespoon
Method
1.
Wash
and
strain
the
mince
.
2. Squeeze out all the
water
by pressing the
mince
well.
3. The
mince
should be absolutely dry.
4.
Add
all the other
ingredients
given under steak, to the drained
mince
.
5. Knead the
keema
well to
mix
all the
ingredients
.
6.
Keep
aside for ½ hour as the
salt
and
ginger
act as tenderizers.
7.
Make
8 flat round steaks (tikkis) of
mince
.
8. Refrigerate for ½ hr.
9.
Heat
a non stick tawa with 2 Tablespoon
oil
.
10.
Fry
steaks on high
heat
to brown both sides.
11.
Reduce
flame &
fry
on low flame till well cooked.
12. To
prepare
garlic
sauce
,
heat
1 Teaspoon
oil
or the remaining
oil
, after
frying
the steak.
13.
Add
garlic
paste
and
stir
fry
on low flame till it changes colour.
14.
Add
all the 3
sauces
,
salt
&
pepper
.
15.
Stir
.
Add
¾ cup
water
.
Boil
.
Add
cornflour
paste
,
stirring
continuously.
16.
Cook
till
sauce
thickens.
Keep
aside.
17. To
serve
, place the steaks in a
serving
plate.
18.
Serve
with
sauce
.
19. Steaks without
sauce
make
excellent burger patties.
