Methi Puri

Ingredients

• • Fenugreek leaves/Methi leaves - 6 bunches
• • Green chillies - 5
• • Wheat flour - 3 cups
• • Salt (powdered) - 2 teaspoons
• • Oil (for deep frying) - as required

Method

• 1. Wash and chop leaves alone from the bunch.
• 2. Grind it to smooth paste along with green chillies without adding water.
• 3. Immediately mix it with the wheat flour to which salt is added.
• 4. Knead to a stiff dough sprinkling necessary water.
• 5. Make puris and deep fry in hot oil.

Note

• • Fenugreek leaves becomes bitter if kept separately after grinding.
• • Keep flour ready in mixing bowl and mix ground paste immediately with that.
