Methi Dosa

Ingredients
•
Par boiled rice/Puzhungal arisis
- 1 cup
•
Urad dal
- 1 tablespoon
•
Fenugreek seeds
- 1 teaspoon
•
Salt
- ½ teaspoon
•
Oil (for frying)
- as required
Method
1.
Soak
rice
,
urad dal
,
fenugreek seeds
in
water
for 5 hours.
2.
Grind
the soaked
ingredients
and
salt
using the
water
used for
soaking
.
Grind
to a very fine
paste
.
3.
Keep
the batter aside to ferment for 6-8 hours.
4.
Heat
a dosa tawa until medium hot. Apply a few drops of
oil
on the griddle.
5. Using a ladle
spread
the dosa batter onto the tawa.
6. Unlike normal dosa,
spread
the dosa to be a little thick.
Pour
oil
over the dosa and on the sides.
7. Small holes will form on top of the dosa. When the dosa sides starts to brown,
flip
and
cook
the other side.
8.
Remove
from
heat
and
serve
with chutney and sambar!
