Ingredients

Rice (raw)
- ½ cup
•
Par boiled rice
- ½ cup
•
Bengal gram dal
- ¼ cup
•
Black grams (dehusked)
- 1 ½ tablespoons
•
Coconut (grated, fresh)
- ¼ cup
•
Red chillies
- 10
•
Asafoetidas
- a pinch
•
Salt
- 2 teaspoons
•
Methis/Fenugreek leaves
- 3 bunches
Method
1.
Soak
black gram
alone separately.
2.
Mix
both
rice
, with
bengal gram dal
and
soak
for 2 hours.
3.
Grind
black gram
till smooth and frothy.
Add
other soaked
ingredients
with
coconut
,
chillies
,
salt
and
asafoetida
.
4.
Mix
chopped
leaves
and
fry
adai immediately with enough
oil
on both sides.
